This web site addresses
Mormon doctrines which is a combination of a number beliefs which
serves missionaries very well. They can come into agreement with
just about anyone's belief. This capability makes missionaries
seem authentic Christians and in our estimation is one of the
most spiritually dangerous to get tangled up with. Their Bible
is a combination of four standard works, which are bound into
one book considered to be the accepted Mormon Doctrine.
The founder Joseph Smith Jr. purchased a number of Egyptians
mummies and found papyrus inside the wrappings. Egyptian drawings
and hieroglyphics were supposedly interpreted to be Abraham and
Isaac's story, when in fact the papyrus where Egyptian traditional
breathing certificates mentioned in the Book of the Dead.
In the early 1800's when the Latter-day Saints church was founded,
there was no one who could translate the hieroglyphics although
Joseph insisted that he had indeed translated them. Strangely
enough approximately 100 years later the Rosetta stone was found
which contained the very same hieroglyphics with their meanings.
Joseph Smith Jr. was exposed at that point but to no avail of
the church members. Somehow the church leadership was able to
keep the membership in the dark about this discovery and the
church marches on to this day growing daily world wide.
We highly recommend getting educated about Mormonism to
keep from being tempted to join them. They offer a lot to families
from a practical point of view but their spiritual focus is on
becoming gods of other planets.
