In questioning Jehovah's
Witnesses when they come to the door in twos and threes, we found
that many of them are coverts from evangelical churches: Lutheran,
Roman Catholic etc. and the reason being "works" that
they get to do. Many Christians believe that they have to perform
for God to get to heaven and that opportunity is not afforded
in their congregations, they opt out and go where they are assured
of doing "works" for the Lord.
Guess what? God allows it to happen. People believe because they
are Christians that God would not let them run down the wrong
road. Well, He does, because we were on the wrong road to begin
with. To believe that we can work our way into heaven by gaining
God's favor, is to be Antichrist.
Jesus said: ".. why callest thou me good? there is none
good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life,
keep the commandments." (Matthew 19:17) "If thou wilt
be perfect, go and sell all that thou hast, and give to the poor,
and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me."
(Matthew 19:21) "But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them,
With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible."
(Matthew 19:26)
What Jesus is pointing out is, that we can't compete with God.
We are born into sin and can't get rid of it no matter how hard
we try to work it off. Jesus, who is God, literally purchased
us with His blood. The New Testament is an inheritance from God
who placed in us a little bit of Himself, the Holy Spirit, to
keep us on hold till further notice (the Rapture or translating
to heaven through death).
We discovered that the Watchtower doesn't teach about the Holy
Ghost. So how do the Witnesses receive the baptism of the Holy
Ghost? They don't. Not only do they have to slave for months
on end going door to door but they don't have any way of attaining
the inheritance Jesus left.
God has raised up a number of former Jehovah's Witnesses and
discernment ministries to talk about this spiritually unjust
situation because God is a righteous God and would not that anyone
